Description:
The GfA Elektromaten TS 971 door control unit is an automatic controller for GfA Elektromaten drives with digital (DES) or mechanical limit switches (NES). The TS971 control unit comes, as standard, with an integrated radio receiver for 434 MHz radio products from various manufacturers and a radio reception module for the WSD-type safety devices. Unfortunately, the use of WSD-systems is not possible with TS971 control units in stainless-steel enclosures. The use of the integrated 434 MHz radio system is only possible through the application of external antennae (our Art. Nr. TA0400064).

As the pluggable cables are pre-configured, the TS971 is easily connected to the drive, avoiding faulty connection problems and clearly reducing wiring times. The cable can be connected to the control box from above or below.
Besides the pluggable cables, many other accessories such as rope-pull switches, photo-eyes, sensing edges, etc., are available and can be connected to the door control unit.
Because the "wireless" function on the GfA TS971 is already integrated, the controller is factory-equipped with a radio receiver for wireless hand-held transmitters from various manufacturers with a radio frequency of 434 MHz. Thus, it is not necessary to connect an additional receiver to operate via remote control.
The controller is also compatible with the GfA Elektromaten radio transmission system WSD. This system is especially adapted for safety devices and enables wireless monitoring of common safety edge systems, as well as pass-door and slack-rope switches.
Accordingly, wear-prone spiral cables can be disposed of. Of course, with the TS971, it is also possible connect the electronics on the door side with the spiral cable instead of the WSD system.
Through this comprehensive function packet, the TS971 is also suitable for complex applications for the operation of industrial doors. For more simple standard applications, the GfA Elektromaten door controller type GfA TS970 is also available.
