Rubber profiles as a safety factor
Automatic doors - which are used on a daily basis in industry in particular - pose a certain risk to people and machines due to their weight alone. For this reason, their moving edges are fitted with safety edges to drastically minimize the risk of accidents. The hollow rubber profiles, a main component of OSE safety edges, deform when touched, whether by workers, material or machines. They then send a signal to the door control unit and the movement of the door is stopped immediately. It is also important to ensure that the profile base fits into the holder located on the end bar of the door. If this is not the case, separate mounting channels must be fitted.
