Sensors
Door sensors play a crucial role in the automation of door systems and the safety of door operation. These sensors are placed on industrial doors to ensure precise control, safe movement and effective safety mechanisms.
Safety sensors
A key element are sensors for obstacle detection or presence detection, which are used to prevent collisions with objects or people. These sensors are often equipped with advanced technologies such as infrared, ultrasound or radar and enable the door opening to be monitored. These include safety edges, Light curtains, photo eyes, Area scanners or modern 3D laser scanner systems. As soon as an obstacle is detected, the sensor sends a corresponding signal to the door control unit, which stops or changes the door movement to prevent potential damage.
Activation sensors
Activation sensors are used to automate door movement and optimise the integration of the door into goods flow processes. These sensors detect an approaching object, such as a forklift truck or lorry, and open or close doors as required at the right time. Particularly worth mentioning here are radar detectors, induction loops or IR sensors.
The integration of sensor technology in industrial doors not only contributes to safety, but also enables efficient and precise control of door operation.

Description:The BEA 1SAFE is an active infrared sensor with background suppression (triangulation) that is suitable for all door types. With a detection field of 35 × 70 mm at an installation height of 2.20 m, the 1SAFE offers precise and concentrated coverage. This sensor is ideal for opening, securing or monitoring doors and ensures reliable safety and convenience.Product features:The BEA 1SAFE is characterised by its ability to track and record the evolution of its background and surroundings, ensuring high reliability and precision in door monitoring. It provides protection for various door types: Linear sliding doors it safeguards when opening and prevents crushing hazards, revolving doors and swing doors it protects against terminal block or crushing hazards when closing, and on revolving doors it safeguards the main closing edge where no other monitoring is possible. Thanks to its narrow detection field, the 1SAFE is ideal as an alternative to push plates and can also open automatic doors in narrow detection zones, such as in restaurant kitchens or in the interior doors of trains. For the most common applications and installation heights, the detection zone can be adjusted in automatic mode at the simple press of a button. In addition, the manual mode allows precise adjustment of the detection zone for special applications such as large installation heights, reflective floor coverings or horizontal applications using adjustment screws and DIP switches.

The settings for field dimensions, field alignment, direction detection and filtering can be easily adjusted. Energy efficiency: The ability to ignore passing objects prevents unwanted door openings, which reduces the building's energy consumption. Easy installation: The intuitive operating concept with user-friendly menu navigation and a large display enables quick and easy installation. Versatility: The AIR modules provide protection at the main closing edges of the door and can be customised depending on the installation height and floor covering. Specific requirements can be met by adjusting the sensitivity and teach-in time. Robust design: The sensor is available in three different colours (black, white, silver) and is made of durable ABS/PA housing material. With a protection rating of IP54, it is ideally suited for use in various environments. The DualSense D offers a reliable and user-friendly solution for controlling and securing automatic sliding doors and is ideal for use in escape routes and emergency exits.
Sicherheitssensoren
